Its not too thick as the sweater can easily be worn with a jacket or coat without being too bulky or hot. It's perfect for those crisp fall days as it will keep you warm even without a jacket. Bought this sweater, because — living down South — I didn't have many winter clothes. But I was kinda shocked by just how NICE and well-made this mock turtleneck was! Very soft, extremely-well fitting and perfect for casual/dressy-casual outings, I've gotten compliments every time I've worn it... and no one EVER compliments me on my clothes! 😄
